2015 Ford Mustang will perch atop Empire State Building

Ford is celebrating the Mustang's 50th anniversary in style. In addition to the cross-country tour and sporadic events across the world, Ford will repeat what it did to introduce the Mustang convertible 50 years ago, setting it on top of the Empire State Building during the New York auto show. So, you might guess Ford would use one of those super cranes to get the car up there, but even the best portable units can only go up 50 stories or so; the observation deck at the Empire State Building is on the 86th floor.

The Frankfurt Motor Show 2009 runs from 17th -27th September to the public Many of the Japanese makers will be conspicuous by their absence, but that should be more than made up for by the launches from the big European makers. And of course the Koreans – in the guise of Hyundai and Kia – will do what they’re starting to do in the market place and fill the gap left by the Japanese. Porsche Panameras recalled for seatbelt fix

Porsche is recalling all 11,300 units of the 2010 Panamera to fix a problem with the front seatbelts. According to Porsche, the Panamera's seatbelt mounts could fail in a crash when the front seats are in the full forward position. No injuries have been reported.
